Best ever profits fuel Exponential-e's inclusion in the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100

Cloud and Network provider debuts at 89 after almost 26% in annual revenue growth

Exponential-e, the British Cloud and Network provider, has been listed at 89 in the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track List. Exponential-e's inclusion was driven by record-breaking numbers for the financial year ending 31st January 2017.

The headline statistics for the company's financials are:

  • Revenue: £97.4m - 26% growth.
  • EBITDA: £20.1m - 45% growth
  • Operating Profit: £10.2m - 56% growth over 3 years.

The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table ranks Britain's top 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits over the last three years. It is compiled by Fast Track and published as a supplement in The Sunday Times each April, with a national awards event in June. The prestigious league table is a clear indicator of companies that have developed and refined their offerings to grow at an economy-leading rate.

Commenting on the company's inclusion, Lee Wade, CEO, Exponential-e says:

"To be in the top 100 companies nationally that are leading the way in terms of profit growth is testament to the services we provide and how our company's culture consistently looks forward. The speed at which our revenues and profits have grown are a clear indication that we are aligned with the needs of our customers and prospects, both retaining and growing our customer base at an industry-leading rate."

The rise in profits have come from several new product iterations, successful framework nominations and key senior hires over the last twelve months. Following the launch of a 10 Gigabit Internet service - 400 times faster than the Government's minimum definition of superfast broadband - the company made several key hires including Henry Pepperall as CFO. These recruits have integrated well with the existing senior management team to continue to grow and innovate the business.

Inclusion to the Government's Technology Services 2 Framework and HSCN Compliance Stage 2 has also meant that Exponential-e is seen as a vital provider of public sector connectivity and cloud solutions, driving business as a preferred and trusted supplier.

Continuing, Lee Wade says:

"Connectivity and Cloud services are vital for businesses across the country and with Exponential-e's Peace-of-Mind-as-a-Service culture, our high customer retention rate helps drive our growth rates. Our inclusion on the Fast Track Profit 100 is another indicator to customers and prospects that we have the right ideas in order to help companies of all shapes, sizes and sectors. We have no desire to slow down either and have some hugely exciting plans for the next twelve months."
