Join us at Cloud 23, Deansgate Hotel, 303 Deansgate, Manchester M3 4LQ - one of Manchester’s most iconic venues - on 26th February, where the Exponential-e Group’s experts will be discussing the ongoing digital evolution of the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure, and how emerging compliance and security challenges present a unique opportunity to reconsider, better secure, and protect how the nation’s mission-critical services are delivered.
Watch the highlights from our last CNI event
As compliance expectations tighten and threats become more sophisticated, the need for Cyber-Secured Engineering in Critical National Infrastructure has never been greater.
Exponential-e and Vysiion are leading the way - helping CNI organisations design resilient, secure, and compliant systems. Recent disruptions, like the Vodafone outage, are a clear reminder: security and resilience aren’t optional - they’re mission-critical. Check out the video from our last event.
Synopsis
With the rise of AI and the ongoing convergence of IT and OT environments, a new approach to securing mission-critical assets is required - a ‘defence-in-depth’ approach that will maximise the security, availability, and resilience of critical services all over the country. To this end the UK Government has committed to increasing investment in digital infrastructure while simultaneously introducing the new Cyber Security and Resilience Bill, updating the existing NIS-2018 regulations, and empowering regulators with greater oversight and enforcement capabilities.
Throughout the day, subject matter experts from across the Exponential-e Group - Exponential-e, Vysiion, and Xpertex - will be exploring the implications of these shifts, and how a new breed of CNI ‘toolbox’ is required to:
Design, deploy and scale systems and processes that are fully tailored to CNI’s unique, highly nuanced blend of IT, OT, and ICS components.
Develop a layered approach to security,
based around the 5 Critical Controls recommended by the SANS Institute - a true ‘secure by design’ approach.
Maintain the leading edge against the
Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures, (TTPs), and Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) utilised by bad actors.
Futureproof mission-critical assets
by phasing out legacy systems in favour of highly scalable, agile platforms, with zero operational disruption.
Make intelligent digital investments
in next-gen technologies such as AI and ML, allowing for true data-driven decision-making, with zero security compromises.
Support compliance with the IEC-62443 standards, the new Cyber Security and Resilience Bill, the NCSC NIS 2018 directive, and CAF V4.
From energy and industry to transport, food production, data centres, defence, and beyond, this event is a unique opportunity for all OESs to learn more about digital security and compliance, discus how they can equip to meet the challenges ahead, and ensure continuity of the mission-critical services that are essential to the growth and security of the UK economy.
