2013
Exponential-e makes significant investments in Cloud infrastructure assets and launches its Private Cloud and Virtual Data Centre. The company grows to 220 employees and 1400 customers and partners.
2012
Exponential-e's customer service receives recognition across the technology industry.
The company was announced as a finalist in the UK Customer Experience Awards.
Exponential-e upgraded its core network to 100GigE.
Investments in Cloud, data centres and network virtualisation were made.
2011
Exponential-e launches Cloud services with a fully integrated Wide Area Network. Exponential-e’s network was used to broadcast the Royal Wedding to millions of North American viewers for major US broadcasters.
The company was named as a finalist in the prestigious Computing Security Awards.
2010
Exponential-e became the world’s first to introduce web-based Bandwidth Management and won Global Business Telecoms 2010 award for Business Innovation.
2008
We launched our business Internet service 'Smart Internet' (formerly PowerNGN) in January 2008, enabling customers to deliver multiple services securely at Layer 2 across one fibre connection.
Products including Voice DR and Mobility through SIP were also made available.
We also hosted our ‘Complementarity of Next Generation Networks and Virtualisation’ seminar providing one of the earliest discussion platforms in this space.
2007
£5m was invested in 2007 to build a robust carrier-class network.
Exponential-e became the first UK company to ‘unbundle Ethernet’.
The first Wholesale SIP Interconnect requiring no CPE was announced.
We were featured in the Tech Track 100 as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK.
2006
The first ever VPLS network in Europe was launched in January 2006.
Exponential-e’s total customer base reached 350 and the company achieved a 100% client retention rate.
2005
The design and deployment of the first ever VPLS network in Europe commenced.
Exponential-e’s total number of employees grew to 52 and the company was named as a finalist in the Metro Ethernet Forum Service Provider of the Year Awards.
2004
Intelligent Internet Routing Algorithm was introduced — a route sampling engine guaranteeing organisations the fastest Internet service available in the UK.
2002
Exponential-e was founded with the clear vision that IP and Ethernet were the future of networking and telecoms. Lee Wade and the co-founders identified that there was a gap in the market place for a company with a focus on true quality of service and embarked on a mission to establish a company with a real innovation and customer service ethos. The company became the first UK business to launch Internet over Ethernet.
