A new world of smart technology for channel partners, from Exponential-e and Vysiion

The addition of Vysiion to the Exponential-e Group has ushered in a new era of innovation for both companies. Combining our collective expertise with multiple technologies, across multiple sectors, allows us to deliver a more comprehensive service wrap, putting a range of cutting-edge solutions at the fingertips of our channel partners which they, in turn, can offer to their customers and end users. For example, consider Vysiion's smart technology capabilities…

What is smart technology?

Smart technology refers to the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data to interconnect objects that would previous have existed in isolation, allowing for effective monitoring of infrastructure beyond IT. This concept is related to now well-established Internet of Things, offering organisations access to a 'big picture' overview of their infrastructure, while introducing numerous opportunities for enhancing security, reducing costs, and allowing for more environmentally friendly operations. In this way, organisations are able to categorically position themselves as green companies, with deep commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Potential applications of this technology include:

  • Smart cities. A city where multiple types of sensor are used to automate data collection and optimise the use of available resources, while simultaneously putting a range of conveniences at residents' fingertips.

  • Smart buildings. Interconnecting multiple systems within a building to ensure resources are consumed on an as-needed basis, while streamlining, centralising and optimising security processes, such as CCTV and access control.

  • Smart homes. Automation of utilities, and integrated security systems, allowing residents to maintain full control of their energy consumption, while enjoying complete peace of mind that their homes are secure.

These are just a few examples of smart technology, which has also been successfully implemented in transport systems (including parking, motorways, and high-speed trains), factories, hospitals, and national infrastructure, such as power grids (i.e. the smart grid).

Leading UK innovators in smart technology

Vysiion have spearheaded smart technology deployments across a number of challenging sectors, including renewable energy, critical national infrastructure (CNI) and defence. Not only do their teams of engineers and technical architects have years of hands-on experience in the successful deployment of this technology, their expertise is now fully integrated with Exponential-e's own, allowing for smart technology to be embedded with Exponential-e's range of Cloud, Cyber Security and Unified Communications solutions, combined with 24 / 7 / 365 monitoring and real-time threat intelligence.

What does this mean for Exponential-e's channel partners?

Vysiion's entry into the Exponential-e group puts their deep expertise in smart technology within reach of our channel partner network, opening up a wealth of new opportunities for growth and innovation, including in sectors they may not previously have been able to enter, implementing green approaches and data-driven decision making that opens up new revenue streams and opportunities for brand development.

Combining the expertise of Vysiion's on-site engineering teams and Exponential-e's world-class, business only network allows for the design and implementation of bespoke smart technology solutions with maximum uptime and operational resilience. By making these innovations available across the UK, channel partners will be well-positioned to outpace the competition.
