Christmas Change Freeze 2020

Christmas Change Freeze 2020

As we head towards the festive period, we wanted to provide you with an update on this year's Christmas change freeze.

We understand this year may be a little different for many people and organisations, but we appreciate the availability of key services will continue to be very important and time with friends and family will be cherished. That's why our change freeze will remain an important practice to protect our customer's critical systems and services, ensuring they remain highly stable at a time when there is generally reduced staff across our suppliers and customers.

To minimise risk to customer services, Exponential-e will not be making any changes to our core infrastructure during the freeze period. We will continue to provide customer services which pose no risk to existing capacity until 18th December. However, it's also worth noting there may be extended lead times during this period due to embargos enforced by some local authorities.

Full details of our change freeze can be found below:

Physical onsite field engineering - freeze

During this time we will not be provisioning any new services requiring any form of Data Centre installation (this includes plug-ups, cross-connects or new equipment installations)

Begins: Friday 18th December at 17:30
Ends: Monday 4th January at 09:00

100% change freeze

During this time we will only be focused on fault resolution/break-fix activities, no new service activities or changes will be progressed

Begins: Wednesday 23rd December at 17:30
Ends: Monday 4th January at 09:00

If you are planning any changes to live services during this period or have any questions, please contact the service desk via the normal channels. We would like to discuss your requirement as early as possible so that the change and risk can be assessed and planned accordingly.

We thank you for your understanding at this time and we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers an enjoyable Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Kind regards,
Amy Springford
Director of Client Relations
