The healthcare sector generates higher volumes of patient data on a daily basis than ever before - all of which conceals a rich vein of opportunities to optimise efficiency and enhance patient care. The demand for more efficient diagnosis and more effective management of data has naturally led to the rise of digital pathology and - in turn - the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) that underpin these initiatives.

The COVID pandemic has affected the delivery of multiple services across the public sector and compelled organisations to review the way they deliver services. Exponential-e was able to rise to the challenge presented by NHS England and Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and rapidly design and build a service that allows telemedicine services to be delivered securely on-site. This was done in conjunction with the appropriate teams in NHS England and HMPPS to ensure all services were compliant with the appropriate standards.
