Ark Data Centres help to power up Exponential-e’s growing Enterprise and Public Sector Offering

Ark Data Centres help to power up Exponential-e’s growing Enterprise and Public Sector Offering
Award winning British Cloud and Network Provider, Exponential-e, has signed a seven-year contract with Ark Data Centres Limited. Ark will supply secure, energy efficient data centre space to power Exponential-e's unique cloud services model which offers a secure layer 2 network that combines a superfast private Cloud with critical business applications. The contract initially covers a 760 kW data room, with the flexibility to expand seamlessly as customer demand grows.

Based on a 12-month long evaluation of the UK data centre market, Exponential-e selected Ark Data Centres for the outstanding security, efficiency, and flexibility of its facilities, as well as its extensive commercial and public sector experience. Thanks to unique cooling technology, Ark's data centres are the most efficient in the UK – allowing Exponential-e and ultimately its customers to benefit from significant energy savings and a low total cost of ownership. Ark's campuses in Hampshire and Wiltshire also provide enhanced levels of security, combining physical, technical and procedural measures across the campus for maximum protection.

"As a serial innovator, we pride ourselves in designing bespoke technical solutions which meet our customers' needs, and the Ark's data centres, with their unique layout and best-in-class technology, allow us to deliver the security, performance and flexibility our customers expect," said Lee Wade, CEO, Exponential-e. "In addition, Ark has a clear focus on operational excellence, which matches our own company philosophy. Their facilities are maintained to the highest standards, and are the perfect match for our business, as we continue to expand our cloud service offering to organisations seeking secure, private storage for their business critical data."

"The move to the cloud is still a daunting prospect for some organisations, so having a trusted and reliable cloud services partner like Exponential-e is essential," added Huw Owen, CEO, Ark Data Centres. "Many clients already rely on us for their cloud and data centre infrastructures and our experience in working with them will help us support Exponential-e as they extend their enterprise offering. Exponential-e has a philosophy to always provide exceptional service to its customers, and we are proud to be playing a key part in this."

Exponential-e will move into the Ark facilities over the summer, with go live scheduled for October 2015.
