Next Generation Network technology is all about using the same technology for all services, be it voice, video or data and being able to converge them all onto the same physical access circuit.

Our intelligent Quality of Service feature allows us to tune the performance of the network so that each service experiences different performance characteristics uniquely set to maximise the quality of the particular service. Our Intelligent Quality of Service feature is derived from the “service aware” functionality of our Next Generation Network.

Insulated, secure, service delivery

Exponential-e builds VPLS instances on a physical connection to create separate VLAN-style virtual circuits or WANs within a WAN. These VPLS instances have the ability to group a single service on a single logical subnet across geographically- dispersed sites.

Each service can be assigned its own bandwidth allocation; its own performance parameters and its own management and security policies. VoIP and data could run as separate VLAN networks giving high levels of performance to both but with the additional benefits of running across a converged network.

Alternatively it is possible to group the same business division, which again maybe dispersed across multiple sites, on the same broadcast domain so that they appear as if they are sitting and communicating across the same LAN.

Each VPLS VLAN is highly insulated giving extremely high levels of security for each service.
