Business Internet

PowerServe Internet is a high performance Internet service designed to dynamically optimise your Internet service every time you connect. It delivers the high performance needed to support your mission-critical business processes and applications and it will outperform a direct connection to a Tier 1 provider, typically reducing the latency by 20% to 50% and reducing packet loss to zero.

We currently have a special promotion running on our Business Internet service we call our special offer 'PowerNGN' and it provides:

PowerNGN 25: 100mbps service bundled with 25mbps internet from £550 per month*
PowerNGN 50: 100mbps service bundled with 50mbps internet from £650 per month*
PowerNGN 100: 100mbps service bundled with 100mbps internet from £800 per month*
PowerNGN 200: Gigabit service bundled with 200mbps internet from £1250 per month*

Multiple tier 1 providers

Our PowerServe Internet solution uses multiple Internet Tier 1 providers for resiliency. A Tier 1 provider is a provider with its own global internet route that can provide you with a full internet routing table. Moreover, it has its own peering agreements in place so it can access all the routes available over the internet.

Tier 1 Global Internet Providers

The two main advantages of using multiple Tier 1 providers are that firstly, it means we are not reliant on any single global network, so, in the highly unlikely event that one of our Tier 1 providers fails, we could still maintain an internet service to our customers; and secondly, it vastly increases the number of global routes available for our use – ensuring that we always have the best routes available.  All of this means that our customers receive a multi-tiered, resilient and premium performance internet carrier class solution.

Route 1TM sampling algorithm

Matched with our Route 1 feature, the use of multiple Tier 1 providers ensures the best possible route across the Internet at any second of the day. Our Route 1TM intelligent IP management functionality monitors real time traffic delivered by our five Tier 1 global providers. When your users access the Internet they are automatically sent on the fastest route available, at that moment, for that destination, ensuring you benefit from the fastest connection speeds in the UK (our network boasts a New York to London return time of 67ms).

The bandwidth is available as a fixed amount with the option of flexible, pay-as-you-go, bandwidth on demand to handle your high usage periods.
PowerServe Internet provides:-

  • Dynamic best-route selection, which typically improves connection speeds by 20-50%
  • Fully resilient service enabled by five global transit providers
  • Low latency; intelligent QoS and SLAs for mission-critical applications
  • Full DNS and IP registration and addressing
  • Bandwidth on demand allowing you to allocate bandwidth as your needs change
  • Resilient failover IP gateway giving 99.9% network uptime, with the option of back-up to offer 99.999%
  • 24/7 monitoring and faultmanagement

1:1 Access network contention guaranteed

Internet contention ratio refers to the potential usage of bandwidth when a connection is divided, or shared over multiple users. The more users consuming the subscribed bandwidth at the same time, the lower the data rate per user, and therefore the slower the download and upload times. During peak usage, a significant reduction in performance is inevitable over a contended connection.

Our PowerNGN Business Internet Service has a contention ratio of 1:1, or put simply, we guarantee that it's all yours and that you don't have to share. This means our customers receive reliable, secure and cost- effective bandwidth in the amounts for which they pay.

“We had previously been considering a 10Mb SDSL connection. But for only an extra £150 per month we got an extra 90Mbps as well as the peace of mind that comes with delivery using fibre. Fibre connectivity meant we could avoid many of the performance issues associated with copper solutions such as DSL”.

“We try to ensure we have sufficient bandwidth for the media. We needed to make a step change for 2008. Exponential-e’s highly-flexible network and its tailored costs allowed us to do that”.

Jeff Lucas; IT Director; All England Lawn Tennis Club

“Exponential-e’s patented Route1 algorithm is a unique selling point, supporting PowerNGN 100 with automatic best-network re-route over the service provider’s partner networks. Translated into a sales pitch, Exponential-e has the attractive message that it provides the fastest end-to-end circuit available at any given time over a consortium of five partner networks on a single contract".

“Exponential-e, a UK provider of Next-Generation Ethernet connectivity, is offering two deals that are both based on fibre optic networks. This allows firms to benefit from faster speeds and improved reliability compared to DSL connections, and could help give small and medium businesses (SMBs) a competitive edge.”
