Channel Charity Cup - Post Event Update

Thanks to everyone who participated in our first inaugural Channel Charity Cup, which took place on the 25th May at West Ham’s Boleyn Ground.

This was a special day for everyone who took part, and even for the spectators who bravely cheered on their teams – despite the weather being one of the coldest in weeks!

Not only was it one of the last matches to be played at the historic Boleyn Ground, it was also a day of many firsts.

The first time we at Exponential-e have ever organised such an event, and the first time Eric Ascott held a microphone in his hand without singing!

A great team spirit was shown by all participants and tempers ran high at some points. Congratulations to Focus who were the tournament winners and to all team players who contributed to a great day for the Channel.

And all for a good cause

As a valued customer of Exponential-e and a charity we look to support as much as we can we were delighted to raise £5000 on the back of our channel charity cup for Macmillan Cancer support. Pictured here is Noriko Homma, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan alongside Phil Toms from Exponential-e.

As Noriko advised on behalf of Macmillan; "We know we have a very big task ahead of us this year and beyond. But we’re confident that we can achieve more than we ever have before, but we can only do this with your continued support. Thank you to everyone who took part in the Exponential-E charity football match. Part of the £5,000 raised could fund a Macmillan nurse for a month, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support. As you can imagine this will make an incredible difference to people affected by cancer."

Opus Telecoms"The fact that it was the last season at Upton Park also added to it somewhat. It was well organised and the guys had (if a little competitively at times!) lots of fun. Think they are all feeling it today though. Football, some food and beers too, what more could anyone have wanted.“
