Pre-Sales Consultant

We are currently recruiting for Pre Sales Consultants within our London office. This is an exciting and challenging role and is at the heart of both the client facing and engineering operations of the business.

The Role

You will be providing pre-sales support internally and externally to account managers working on sales projects. You will be expected to work as a team player with the pre-sales team leader to assist in the smooth running of the department. You will receive a high level of support from the engineering department and will closely interact with the engineers during the design stage of new solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist the pre-sales team leader in the delivery of all pre-sales requests
  • To engage with Sales account managers at the early stage of pre-sales cycle
  • To attend qualified meetings with account managers working on sales projects
  • To participate in pre-sales conference calls when required
  • Generally to work very closely with the account managers to respond to RFPs
  • Management of pre-sales ticketing system, used to create and track solution documents outlining the final and agreed design.
  • Designing of technical bespoke solutions based on specified customer requirements
  • To maintain a close working relationship with the engineering department in order to validate proposed designs and solutions
  • To answer any general pre-sales queries for purposes of budgetary pricing

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

  • A significant background in Telecoms
  • Experience within a pre-sales environment, you must be confident within a client facing role giving presentations and holding conference calls.
  • Good design/architecture skills
  • In depth knowledge of networking including MPLS, IP Addressing, IP Routing, Firewall security, etc.
  • Previous hands on technical experience is key to this role
  • Any exposure to VPLS, RGP, VRRP, IGRP, BGP or Alcatel Lucent would be advantageous.
