Exponential-e is committed to playing its part as active corporate citizens through an ethical and lawful approach to business and in sharing our resources and expertise to make a positive impact on the wider community.
We have undertaken a series of initiatives in the arena of CSR including:
The launch of the Exponential-e Academy
The first Exponential-e Academy was launched in September 2008 with ten entrants beginning a dedicated programme to enable them to become the sales consultants of the future. The programme, an intensive training course running for 8 - 15 weeks is designed to equip each of the trainees with the skills, knowledge and experience to begin a career in telecoms sales. This was coupled with dedicated support and mentoring programmes to give them front line exposure of the wider business.
One of the aims of the Academy was to offer job opportunities to local residents, and as part of the advertising strategy we ensured that publicity and advertising locally was undertaken to raise awareness of the opportunity for local people.
Charity
Each year the company looks at making donations to charities where customers and staff have an affinity and are undertaking an event to raise awareness and support for that charity.
Volunteering
We recognise that our employees can make a positive contribution to the community through lending their time and expertise to local projects. In recognition of this we arrange for a team of employees to take a day away from the office to assist in a local project once a quarter. These challenges are not only designed to meet the community needs but provide networking and development opportunities for all employees.
Recycling
We are very keen to promote ‘Green’ corporate practices, so we ensure we recycle paper, plastic and aluminium in all offices.
Clear desk and think before you print policy
To reduce the amount of paper that is used in the business we have a ‘think before you print’ policy that applies to all staff. We also have a ‘clear desk’ policy where every desk must be clear before staff leave which has enabled us to reduce the level of paper we use.
